
*In the past twelve months we have filed many dozens of cases in Tennessee involving personal injuries for amounts ranging from a few thousand dollars to more than one million dollars.
*In 2008, The Law Offices of Woods and Woods filed suits against the manufacturer’s of dangerous and defective products, seeking damages for our clients in excess of two million dollars. The outcomes of these cases are still pending.
*We successfully settled a case on behalf of one of our clients seeking damages caused to her home by the contractor who built it, but did not protect against mold and other construction defects.
*Our attorneys established new precedent in the legal field of sexual harassment in the workplace when we represented a woman against her Nashville-based employer and eventually won the case in the Supreme Court of the United States on an 8 to 1 vote in 1993. Ultimately, our client received a large monetary judgment from this case.
*We represented the mother of a 19 year old woman when her child was shot and killed by city police officers. We won the case in federal district court and in the federal court of appeals.
*Our attorneys were appointed as lead counsel and attorneys for the class action in federal court in Townsend v. Treadway and Clover Bottom Hospital.
